Our Rooms

Each second-floor room features the charm of original oak floors and a private bathroom with a bathtub and shower, as well as the modern comfort of a personal mini refrigerator, high-speed wireless Internet, and cable television.

Guests are invited to enjoy the hot tub located on the outdoor patio. Room Rates are in USD (United States Dollars).

Garçonnière Suite

Overlooking our colorful tropical gardens and centuries-old oak trees, the Garçonnière Suite is secluded in its own wing of the house. Enjoy a South Louisiana sunset on the wrap-around balcony or relax in the private hot tub. The main room features a queen-size four-poster bed and sofa seating area. The adjoining sitting room features a daybed with trundle, breakfast table, and full coffee service.

The suite, which can accommodate four persons comfortably, boats the charm of original oak floors and pine ceilings as well as a private bathroom with a shower. The room also has the modern comfort of a personal mini refrigerator, high-speed wireless Internet, and cable television.

The Yellow Room was the proprietor's childhood room. With a beautiful view of the grounds, the bright and cheery atmosphere includes a comfortable queen-size four-poster bed and antique furnishings.

(The Cream Room)

The Cream Room was once the proprietor’s grandmother's room. This room includes a queen-size sleigh bed, antique writing desk, and a picturesque window view of Bayou Black.

From banana pancakes with macadamia nuts to beignets and fresh fruit platters, Grand Bayou Noir offers a full, hot breakfast with fresh-squeezed juice each morning. We pride ourselves on being as self-sufficient as possible in the 21st century and use our own eggs, vegetables, and fruit when available.

Our Policies

  • Smoking is allowed in some areas.

  • We cannot accommodate pets.

  • There are no limitations on children staying.

  • The consumption of alcohol is permitted and encouraged.

  • No minimum stay is required, except during Mardi Gras season.

  • Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out time is 12 noon.

  • Cancellations must be made 72 hours before arrival or deposit is forfeited.

  • State and local taxes apply.

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover as well as cash and traveler's checks.
